Getting There: Airports, Trains & Local Transport
Everything you need to reach the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).
Pudong International Airport (PVG)
About 33 km east of SNIEC.
🚝 Maglev to Longyang Road: 8 minutes, ¥50 (¥40 with air ticket).
🚕 Taxi: ~35 minutes, ~¥95.
Hongqiao International Airport (SHA)
About 32 km west of SNIEC.
🚇 Metro Line 2 to Longyang Road, then transfer Line 7: ~40 minutes, ¥6.
🚕 Taxi: ~35 minutes, ~¥95.
Shanghai’s High-Speed Rail Network
Shanghai has 10 passenger railway stations.
Main high-speed hubs: Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (integrated with Hongqiao Airport), Shanghai Railway Station, and Shanghai South Railway Station.
From Hongqiao Railway Station to SNIEC
🚇 Metro Line 2 to Longyang Road, then transfer Line 7 to SNIEC — about 50 minutes, ¥6.
🏗️ Five new high-speed stations are under construction, including Shanghai East (opening July 2027).
Metro Line 7 — Direct to SNIEC
Connects directly to the venue at Huamu Road Station. Exit 2 is right next to the venue — a 2-minute walk.
Longyang Road Station — Major Interchange
Connects Metro Lines 2, 7, 16, and 18, plus the Maglev.
About a 10-minute walk to SNIEC.
Shanghai Maglev Train
From Pudong Airport to Longyang Road in just 8 minutes at speeds up to 430 km/h.

between-session breaks.
🔧 Shanghai SEG Electronics Market (赛格电子市场)
Known as Shanghai’s “Huaqiangbei,” this is the go-to spot for industrial electronic
components, wires, controllers, and small-batch procurement. If you’re in power
transmission, automation, or electronics — this is your market. Located in Pudong,
a short taxi ride from SNIEC.
⚙️ Hardware & Industrial Components Markets
Shanghai has major multi-category wholesale markets for hardware, electromechanical
equipment, wires, cables, welding supplies, and industrial consumables. The
China International Hardware Fair is also held in Shanghai annually —
a great complement to PTC ASIA if you’re sourcing components.

📋 China M Visa (Business Visa)
If you’re traveling to China for PTC ASIA, you’ll need an
M Visa (commercial trade activities). Your invitation letter must include:
- Purpose of visit, business relationship, arrival/departure dates, and place of stay
- Name, contact details, and address of the inviting unit or individual
- Signature and official seal of the inviting unit
- Your full name and passport number as the invitee
- The invitation letter must be an official document — L, Q, or S visa templates cannot be used
You’ll also need: passport (6+ months validity, 2 blank pages),
recent photo (white background), and your completed visa application form.
