New zealand Business and Event Insight 2025
New Zealand is an island country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, 2,000 kilometers (1,200 miles) southeast of Australia across the Tasman Sea and about a mile south of the islands of Fiji, Tonga, and New Caledonia. Two major landmasses-the North Island and the South Island-handle most of its territory, while over 700 smaller islands complete the landmass.
New Zealand uses New Zealand Dollar as its official currency, abbreviated as NZ$.
New Zealand Dollar and US Dollar
The New Zealand Dollar depends on exchange rates, which are reviewed with respect to changes in global economic conditions, trade balances, and policies pursued by a central bank. The New Zealand Dollar, by recent statistics, tends to be relatively weaker than the US Dollar. This means that one US Dollar typically amounts to more than one unit of New Zealand Dollar. For instance, 1 USD might be approximately equal to about 1.6 to 1.7 NZD; however, the rates usually shift daily.
