Know Before You Go
Getting to Sant Jordi Club can be a hassle if you drive. Parking around the Olympic Port area is a nightmare. Your best bet is the Metro. Take the L1 or L3 to Espanya, or the L2 or L3 to Poble Sec, and walk over. Also, make sure to eat before you go. The area around the venue doesn’t have great food options right outside, so walk 10 minutes to Carrer de Blai and grab some tapas before the show.
About Joe Bonamassa
If you love blues rock, this is a no-brainer. Joe Bonamassa is one of the best guitarists alive, and seeing him at Sant Jordi Club is a great experience. It’s a large club, so it has an intimate feel but still packs a punch. He doesn’t rely on crazy stage gimmicks. He just plays. Expect a long set, amazing solos, and a crowd that is really there for the music.
A Local Tip for the Show
If you want to be close to the stage, you need to get there early. The floor is mostly standing room, and it fills up fast. The sound in Sant Jordi Club is generally good, but it’s best right in the center, near the sound mixing desk. Avoid standing directly under the balcony overhang, the sound gets a bit muffled there.
